This 9-day northern Morocco tour explores the cultural treasures of Fes and Meknes, travels to the scenic Mediterranean coast at Ouad Laou, visits the historic port city of Tangier, and discovers the ancient Roman ruins of Volubilis before concluding in Fes.
Upon your arrival at Fez Airport one of our team will welcome you then transfer you to your accommodation.
The whole day will be devoted to the sightseeing of Fès, the oldest cultural and spiritual imperial city of Morocco, founded in 790 B.C by Moulay Idriss II. Highlights will include the medieval Medina, the Medersas (an Islamic teaching university), the El Qaraouiyyin Mosque and the sumptuous Nejjarine fountain. Independent lunch followed by a visit to the “Arabian House” to observe various craftsmen performing their work reminiscent of ancient practices. Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.
depart to Chefchaouen passing through Rif Mountains enjoying the natural landscape of magic Rifian green mountains till we arrive in the Blue- white city of Chefchaouen. Chefchaouen is situated in the North, and it was under Spanish troops during the protectorate era; thus, the majority of its inhabitants are influenced by Spanish accent. When we arrive at Chefchaouen we take dinner and spend the night there in one of its quiet riads.
After breakfast, we will depart to the bride of the north as the Moroccan prefer to call the city of Tanger including a visit to the beautiful city of Tetouan, Tears in local Berber language.
The bride or the pearl of the north definitely worth a visit to its historical monuments and natural sites such as the Hercules Cave. The contrast of the ancient old and modern new is something to observe while walking the streets of this uprising city.
This journey will take us back to the imperial cities, to visit the city which is located in the center of Morocco, the city of Meknes. Along the way, the green and prosper lands in Morocco can be observed.
Meknes is a city with many doors which are surrounded with huge walls, founded by the Ismailiyan. Historical monuments such as the famous Lahdim Square and the Qara Prison, the tomb of Moulay Ismail…. definitely worth a visit.
After breakfast we will depart to visit the holly town of Moulay Idriss Zerhoun in our way back to Fez, also we will visit the ancient roman city of Volubilis, to continue our way to join the city to Fez
